Bubble in center of top half of spine. I have not seen a copy of this book without this binder's defect. The last of three volumes in a series, the first two covering 1726-1776 (1938) and 1777-1799 (1954). Co-issued with the Collections of the New-York Historical Society for the Year 1949, The John Watts DePeyster Publications Fund, LXXXII in 1965. Identical except in green cloth and 2 p. at beginning with the Collections statement on recto and The Committe on Publications on verso. Divided into 17 sections such as Paintings, Engravings, and Sculpture; Builders and Buildings; Ships and Boats; Paper, Printing, and Books.
